Is God Calling Me?
For women or men considering religious life, check out the contact info for various religious orders by going to the "Religious Life" page.
For men considering being a parish priest:
If you think God is calling you to life as a priest,
consider the following questions:
- Do I have a strong, personal faith in Jesus?
- Do I love people?
- Do I have the desire to help people know God's love for them?
- Do I have a persistent inner feeling that God may want me to do this?
- Am I physically and emotionally healthy?
- Do I have an enthusiasm for learning and studying?
- Do others support me in this direction?
- Am I active in my parish?
- Do I love the Eucharist and the Church?
- Do I have the gifts to serve the Church in leadership?
What should I do now?
- Pray often
- Talk with a priest about priesthood
- Go to a Project Andrew dinner with Bishop Ricken
- Attend an ordination
- Become part of the Catholic Men's Discernment Group
- Check out Xavier House (a house for men in discernment) in De Pere
