Catholic Youth Expeditions to establish Formation Center in Door County
CYE is beginning an new adventure: establish a Formation Center for young adults. St. Joseph Formation Center in Baileys Harbor (Door County) WI will be the base for CYE expeditions this summer, and the home of the 2009 summer staff. In the future, young adults will be invited to commit for a nine month period to live community life and formation. The Priests of the Sacred Heart, in cooperation with the Diocese of Green Bay, are making this possible. This is a huge undertaking. Please pray reflect on additinal ways you might be able to support this growing apostolate. CYE exists to help young people encounter Jesus Christ and to foster Catholic Christian community through prayer, proclamation of the gospel, and outdoor adventure. Ccheck out the CYE website. A tentative schedule of summer 2009 expeditions is posted there.
Check out the Compass article.
Please PRAY for the men who are thinking about entering seminary in fall 2009. Please pray that they stay open to desiring God's will in their lives.

catholic men's discernment
Xavier House is for young adult Catholic men who would like to live in Christian community while they pray about God's call and the direction of their lives. Men may be in college, or work full-time, or be available for volunteer service. What is asked is an openness to the possibility of priesthood. Xavier House is located at the rectory of St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere. Currently, Xavier House has two residents in addition to Fr. Tom Long, the Vocation Director.
